As proclaimed by their Commander in Chief, Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC, commemorated the National Day of Prayer on May 3rd.

“When we all come together we can accomplish so many more things than we can separately,” said Chaplain Nashaunna Sanders…“On (the National Day of Prayer) we are all in accord together.”

“(The National Day of Prayer) is a significant day to rally everyone and encourage them in their daily walk with the lord,” said Chaplain Gary Pepper…“It’s an intentional day to pray. We should pray every day. We should pray without ceasing, but this is a time where we can do it together.”

Camp Lejeune’s speaker was Daniel Akin, the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  The chaplains hoped participants were “restored and revived.”
