Colorado Chaplain Supports Nevada Soldiers in Afghanistan

A local reporter is “downrange” covering the deployment of Nevada Army National Guard soldiers in Afghanistan.

He notes what seems like a unique situation but is, in fact, not uncommon — a member from one unit supporting another unit, from a different state:

1st. Lt. T.C. Houston [is] a Colorado guardsman attached to the [Nevada National Guard]. Houston is a young chaplain, and he served as an assistant pastor of a church. Not only does he assist with soldiers’ needs but he also advises the commander on individual concerns, morale, etc. He visits the men and women of the battalion who are spread out around the region. The responses from the soldiers are positive, and many have accepted Huston as one of their own Nevada guardsman…

Chaplain T.C. Houston, another guardsmen serving his country, serving his soldiers and serving his God.
