USAFA Hosts Annual Aviation Camp
The US Air Force Academy annually hosts Teen Aviation Camp, inspiring the children of active duty, retired, reserve, or guard Air Force members to a career in aviation.

Over the course of the camp, the teens were introduced to aviation and the Academy. They toured labs, met with cadets, professors, and admissions representatives, ate in Mitchell Hall, built gliders, and flew aboard T-41 Mescalinas.
The cadets also flew gliders and met with Academy Admissions, which gave them an opportunity to learn what they needed to know to apply to USAFA.
(The aircraft was misidentified as “Mescalina.” The T-41 is the Mescalero, which is essentially a Cessna 172. Mescaline is the psychedelic underpinning of peyote.)
