I'm sure we're all relieved to hear that the MRFF would not, in fact, object to prayer in this ceremony. However, this MRFF assertion contradicts their statements to date, and is in direct conflict with their own ongoing lawsuit.

Perhaps the MRFF is going to withdraw their lawsuit, which would have the functional effect of eliminating prayer at ceremonies like this one.

JD...

I think you've stooped to an all-time low, using the honoring of a fallen soldier to bash MRFF.

MRFF would never object to prayers being said at an event such as this, and the reason is not because we would think it would be "political suicide," as you would like your readers to think. SFC Monti was a Catholic, so there is nothing at all inappropriate about prayers quoting the New Testament and closing with "in Your Holy Name" at a ceremony honoring him, just as there is nothing inappropriate about a military funeral being a religious service of whatever religion the fallen service member belonged to.

This post makes it clearer than ever that your obsession with MRFF and Mikey Weinstein has become completely out of control.
