Air Force Hosts Diversity Day for Holocaust Remembrance & Sexual Immorality

by Sonny Hernandez

Moody Air Force Base recently sponsored a “diversity day” to celebrate women’s equality, Asian American and Pacific Islander month, LGBT pride, and, unconventionally, they included Holocaust remembrance in this “celebration”.

moodydiversThe keynote speaker for the event was retired Air Force Major Leonard “Laura” Perry. Perry claims to be a woman but is actually a man, as he will always be because that is how God made him according to Scripture (Genesis 1:1, 27).

An observer may wonder why Moody AFB leadership invited Mr. Laura Perry to speak about his disturbing, confusing, and irrelevant experience as a member of the transgender community. How does his sexual behavior — or gender confusion — relate to Holocaust remembrance?

The Holocaust was one of the most catastrophic and genocidal events in world history in which millions of Jews were systematically killed by a tyrannical and devilish dictator. An event to remember the Holocaust should cause leaders to plan circumspectly and with deference — not invite a speaker who lauds sexual perversion.

Moody Air Force Base published an article that pertained to the diversity day event titled, “Transgender veteran lives inner truth:”

“We’re not crossdressers, drag queens, or transvestites,” said retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Laura Perry, 45th Medical Operations Squadron master social worker. “There’s nothing wrong with those people. That’s just not us. In my case, I was a female stuck in a male’s body and that’s important to understand. I’m not just deciding that I like girl’s clothes or that I like to wear makeup. The choice that [transgender people] make is whether to transition or not. We don’t choose to feel like we’re trapped in the wrong body.”

This aforementioned psycho babble in the Air Force article should cause concerns. A simple internet search will concur that the Air Force has historically been publishing articles on LGBT pride or long testimonials that pertain to sexual immorality (LGBT). However, are conservative, Bible-believing Christians afforded the same free speech opportunity to articulate their faith in God, Christ, or the Bible in long testimonials in Air Force publications? Good luck finding such an article. Maybe when hell freezes over.

This is why the Armed Forces needs bold military chaplains who will not be silent when they are told to be discreet or silent about God, Christ, or the Bible, out of fear that homosexual or anti-God groups will complain or make threats. Military chaplains do not need permission from the Air Force to promote the truth. They already have it (Matthew 28:18-20).

The LGBT community needs to be warned in love that their sin is great, but God’s grace is greater.  If those who practice sexual immorality will not bend their knees to Christ and repent, they need to be reminded that Christ is love, but He is also a judge.

Don’t take my word on it:

Therefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them (Romans 1:24-32, ESV).
