Army Secretary Fanning Headlines Gay Parade

Secretary of the Army Eric Fanning recently rode through San Diego on a rainbow-striped BMW in a sign of same-sex pride:

fanningparadeThe Secretary’s personal security detail may need a little more training on blending in.

Secretary Fanning was the “grand marshal” of the San Diego Pride parade, which one veteran recognized as a significant social event [emphasis added]:

As a symbol, having an openly gay military leader means something, said George Hotaling, 29, a gay former Army officer who volunteered at the rally.

“It’s absolutely huge. To have someone who is that high-ranking, it normalizes it,” said Hotaling, who is married to an active-duty Navy officer.

The US military has developed an interesting dichotomy between sexual expression and religious expression. Consider this:

High-ranking members of the US military can tell the entire world they identify themselves by the fact they have sex with members of their own gender…

…but an Air Force Academy cadet can’t write a Bible verse on a white board next to the room he lives in.

US troops who object to sexual immorality can appear to be equated with racists and bigots

…but a Bible on a table is so offensive it must be banned.

The US military will kowtow to Michael “Mikey” Weinstein’s demands that we stop using the name “crusaders,” because it might hurt the feelings of our Islamic enemies — who haven’t said a thing about it…

…Meanwhile, the US military publishes pictures of troops all over the world celebrating homosexuality — something that bothers our Islamic enemies so much they toss suspected homosexuals off roofs.

The “gay former Army officer” quoted above took reassurance in having a high-ranking member of the military “normalize” homosexuality.  Ironically, if you let a high-ranking member of the military “normalize” Christianity, he’d be lucky if he was only lambasted in the media and investigated by the DoD.  Think seeing such public treatment within the military has an impact on the “Christian Army officers” and others like them?

Somehow, in this fractured, backwards world, Satan has managed to convince people that any inkling of belief in God is actually more objectionable, more offensive, and more dangerous than the promotion of homosexuality.

What a fallen world we live in.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Romans 1:26-32

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness…
Isaiah 5:20

  • There’s no talking to people who believe in irrational demons & ‘Satan’ and that things that go ‘bump in the night’ are paranormal rather than phenomena explainable by rational science.

Only one solution: Who ‘ya gonna call?

    GHOSTBUSTERS!!

You do realize that somewhere between 80-90% of the world believes in some form of religion, right? That’s an awful lot of people you seem to think “there’s no talking to…”

How sad that immorality and sin is being flaunted more and more in our nation, and now even more so in our military. Our military and nation is a laughing stock to all the other countries for our immorality. May God forgive us and have His mercy on us when His judgment does come to the United States, and woe be to the churches in our nation who have allowed societies immorality and sin inside their church doors and have taken up residence. We need revival again in this land and His fire brought to the pulpits again of America!

  • When people are allowed to violate the Ten Commandments and still be allowed to serve in the military, then you know that it is a fallen society. It is bad enough that people can violate the Ten Commandments and walk free in society, but for them to serve in the military?!?!
