Boykin: Pray For Mikey Weinstein

In an interesting commentary during the Family Research Council’s Washington Watch, retired LtGen Jerry Boykin and Richard Land of the Southern Baptist Convention spoke on recent issues of religious freedom in the military. Boykin reminded Christians there’s a correct response to Michael “Mikey” Weinstein, one of the loudest (and most vitriolic) critics of Christianity:

One thing I think we all need to be doing is praying for [Weinstein], because to be honest with you he could be just like the Apostle Paul, if we could ever get him to open up and see the light, particularly the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he could be a tremendous asset in the Christian world.

Land agreed, noting that those we sometimes call our “enemies” are actually victims, and “our [real] enemy is the devil.”

We don’t just want to win the argument. We want to win the people.

Amen to that.
