And Osmakac Makes 12. Almost.

Sami Osmakac, a naturalized US citizen, was arrested in Florida on charges he intended to attack popular local areas in Tampa with explosives and gunfire in an apparent attempt to wage jihad:

Osmakac, from Pinellas County, allegedly told an undercover agent that “We all have to die, so why not die the Islamic way?'” according to a federal complaint.

Osmakac reportedly wanted to go after US military facilities, which would have made him the 12th planned or attempted terrorist attack on the US military motivated in some part by the alleged attacker’s Islamic faith.  Major military commands, including CENTCOM and SOCCOM, are located in Tampa.

As it turns out, security was too high:

“Honestly, I would love to go for the Army people, but their bases are so locked up, I have to do something else,” 25-year-old man from the former Yugoslavia allegedly told an informant.

There appears to be little doubt as to his motivation:

Osmakac said in the video that Muslim blood was more valuable than that of people who do not believe in Islam, according to the complaint. He said he wanted “payback” for wrong that was done to Muslims, the complaint said.
